Arrive in the bustling city of Sydney, and you will be transported to your city accommodation, where you will spend the next three nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the city.

Spend the morning on a family-friendly quintessential half-day tour of Sydney to explore the city's main highlights. Your private guide will take you across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, explore the local beaches, and enjoy the local food and chocolates of the city.

On your last day in Sydney take the ferry across the harbour to Taronga Zoo for an Audley exclusive behind the scenes tour with a professional keeper to meet the animals endemic to Australia. Then, after learning all you can about the cuddly and scaly locals, ferry back for a twilight climb over the Sydney Harbour Bridge as the sun begins to set and the lights begin to twinkle across the skyline.

Today you will pick up your hire car and head to the Blue Mountains, where the hue from the eucalyptus trees provides its namesake. Spend the day at leisure exploring the Blue Mountains. We recommend going to Katoomba to take the Scenic Railway to get extended views of the Three Sisters and the large canyons.

Enjoy breakfast with the kangaroos and test your newly accumulated knowledge of Australian wildlife on this morning's guided tour around the Blue Mountains. You will head off the beaten track to some local hidden gems to enjoy the fauna. In the afternoon, you may want to explore some of the mountain towns or enjoy the mountain views from the pool at your accommodation.

Make your way from the Blue Mountains to Sydney Airport in time for your flight to Lord Howe Island. You will stay the next four nights on Lord Howe Island.

Spend the day at leisure on Lord Howe Island. While here you can take a snorkelling tour to see the beautiful corals and fish reminiscent of the Great Barrier Reef.

Fly from Lord Howe Island to Ballina, where you will collect a vehicle and make your way to Byron Bay, where you will stay the next three nights.

Spend the morning at the beach with a local guide, learning how to surf. In the afternoon, you can relax at your accommodation or explore the food scene in the town.

This morning, take your guided kayak tour of the Byron Bay coastline. You will spend three hours exploring the coastline and looking for dolphins, turtles, and whales, or you may wish to choose a guided e-bike tour of River Trail.

Today you will make your way from Byron Bay to Brisbane. Our suggestion would be to take a drive through Lamington National Park where leisurely hikes through rainforests give you incredible waterfall views, world-class birding and koala spotting. Then you'll continue to Brisbane for the next three nights.

Today, take a guided private family day trip to Stradbroke Island for one last wildlife spotting adventure. Explore the island via 4x4, learn about the local indigenous culture and look out for koalas, kangaroos and whales before travelling to Brisbane.
