The Eddie Hotel & Farm

The Eddie Hotel & Farm

Prince Edward County, Canada

Situated on a beautiful 78-acre property in the heart of Prince Edward County, this boutique countryside hotel is ideally located for exploring the beaches, shops, and wineries of the surrounding area. This historic hotel dates back to 1860 and is an excellent example of the Loyalist architecture that is common in this region of Canada.

You awaken in fresh, elegant rooms designed with both the hotel’s heritage, and modern comfort in mind, followed by a breakfast of eggs freshly collected the same morning, and grass-fed meats. On the property, you can take a book and rock gently in a hammock at the pond's edge, cook up your own BBQ in the sun, lounge by the fountain, or take a stroll through the gardens and orchard, soaking up the serenity.

OUR OPINION:

The Eddie Hotel & Farm is a true example of a Loyalist historic hotel with a modern touch of elegance. With its serene, countryside location, it’s easy to see why it’s popular with weddings and events.

Rooms

There are just a small number of rooms and cabins, ensuring a quiet, intimate stay. Each of the rooms is thoughtfully appointed with comfortable, elegant furnishings, antique pieces, and touches of history to add a nod to the building's heritage. High ceilings and large windows make the spaces feel even more spacious, and lounge spaces allow for plenty of relaxation opportunities. All rooms include a TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, hair dryer, and climate control.

Location

The Eddie is located between the larger towns of Bloomfield and Wellington, on Loyalist Parkway in Prince Edward County. The county is about two and a half hours east of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario, and about an hour west of Kingson, gateway to the Thousand Islands. The hotel boats a convenient location for exploring the surrounding area’s beaches, shops, wineries, and has direct access to the Millennium Trail.

Food and drink

A farm fresh breakfast is included each morning in the dining room — a historic setting with sumptuous modern touches — or in one of the outdoor areas if the weather allows. You can indulge in fresh eggs from the coop, grass fed bacon and sausages, waffles from the farmers' market and fresh baked pastries. The hotel is also home to Nellie’s, a provider of cheeses, charcuterie, and artisan products made on the farm or from local Ontario partners.
