At the gorge, you will meet an Aboriginal artist at Janbal Gallery for an immersive and creative painting class. Learn how to express yourself through Aboriginal art and create your own masterpiece to take home. Listen to fascinating stories from the Dreamtime about the animals, the environment and the language of the Aboriginal people before heading to the beautiful Shannonvale Valley, discovering the ancient routes that the Aboriginal people used to travel through the region.

At Shannonvale Valley, a local cafe awaits for lunch and you will be welcomed by a traditional smoking ceremony performed by Aboriginal elders to bless you and the land. After lunch, explore the lush rainforest of Manjal Dimbi (Mossman Gorge), the home of the Kuku Yalanji people. You will walk along the boardwalks, tracks and bridges that protect the ecosystem and admire one of the world’s oldest and most spectacular rainforests before ending your time in the Daintree.
